A year of Gatherings is coming to a close

Thank you for joining us on this journey. Read on to learn more about what is happening next.

An announcement from the Option B Team

It's been over a year since we started the Gatherings program as a way to bring virtual support to our community during the pandemic. In this year, we've matched over 1000 people in about 80 Gatherings and you were a huge part of making that possible. We are so grateful for the support and encouragement you’ve shown one another during this uncertain time and know this program would not have been possible without you.

We created Gatherings during an uncertain time when meeting people in person was not possible. Now with things reopening and people being able to reconnect, you’ve likely noticed a drop in attendance or perhaps things are getting busier for you as well. It is with this in mind that we are sunsetting the Gathering program on November 1, 2021.

What to expect

If you are already hosting/have been matched into a Gathering you are welcome to continue meeting, however, we won’t be hosting Trainings and Office Hours anymore or adding new members through Eventbrite.

While we won’t be creating new Gatherings, you still have the opportunity to connect with our larger community through our Facebook Grief Group. We will be offering speaker series and other resources here so we encourage you to join and stay connected.

Additionally you can sign up for our OptionB newsletter to stay up to date with our events, articles and more.

FB Grief Group

Grief is one of the most universal human experiences, but all too often no one talks about it. Here you can discuss loss openly and honestly with people who are going through it. This peer support group covers topics like the death of a loved one, grief, loss, and building resilience.

Instagram

Our OptionB Instagram is a community of over 60K people and growing. It’s a space where you & your loved ones can find tools to overcome whatever challenge you’re facing through community support, expert advice and stories.

We are grateful to have run a pilot with The Dinner Party, whose mission is to transform life after loss from an isolating experience into one marked by community support, candid conversation, and forward movement using the age-old practice of breaking bread.
